Exhaustion and No Options!

is the name of the game this week. I have been mentally, emotionally and physically exhausted. As I mentioned last week, my mom was in the hospital. I didn’t deal with the emotional roller coaster that came with it. I just went along for the ride and then didn’t look back. I just finished this semester of school which was draining in itself. We are constantly on the go, dog training one day, school the next night, counseling youth another, soccer practice the following, soccer games the next…and then adding all the other stuff of daily in and outs. When you are not emotionally or mentally prepared, you fail yourself physically too.

But this is a new week. I have a new look out. I talked to a friend of mine, who has slowly lost weight over the last couple of months and she told me how the thing she does is makes the gym a priority. For me, the gym is an option, of course, I like going. BUT if something comes up I totally drop the gym for it. I am putting the gym on my calendar in my phone and if something comes up I will act like I have no choice but to go gym and nothing can take that time away. We pay money that isn’t an option to pay so I should think of the gym as not an option!

So here is my schedule:
Monday – Cardio/Stength (5:30) – Catch the Zumba class if still there..
Tuesday – Water Fitness (6:30)
Wednesday – (9:30) Water Fit and Catch the Zumba class right after
Thursday – Day Off
Friday -(6:00) Zumba
Saturday -Walking – my niece’s birthday will be at a park with a nature trail, I plan on taking the boys through the hike.
Sunday – Cardio/Strength – (2:00)

There’s my week…..

WATER WATER WATER WATER WATER – if I do nothing else this week, I plan on drinking water!

No weight loss, can’t say I am not suprise! This week will be much better!

  1. Your girlfriend is right. That is what I used to do. I’d schedule my workout in first and then schedule everything else around it. It’s also good to get your dh on board so he can help you when the kids are running around. But I also like how she did it slowly, cause that is the way to go. XXOO

  2. Great idea on the stress eating journal you left at my blog! I need to also make the gym or exercise a priority too. Best of luck this week!

  3. It is good to have a friend who is walking the walk with this whole health journey to give you advice like that. I hope your mom is on the mend now and that you can have some breathing space to do the self care you need. Have a great week.

  4. I hope your mom is doing better. When I had a Curves membership I made it a no choice but to go thing. I saw it as my mommy time. What is Zumba class? Guess I should Google it lol! I’m thinking of getting a membership to the local Y. is that what you have or something else (being nosey lol). I hope you have a great week. Go after those goals!

  5. Sorry you had such a crazy week! Hopeully adding in a workout appointment will help. I found that if I did pilates while my dad was sick I had more energy. If it hadn’t been for quick workouts, I would have never made it through!

    Good luck this week

  6. That is some great advise! Thank you for sharing and giving me some motivation to plan mine out too. Have a great week!

  7. I’m sorry you have had such a rough time!

Great advice though. I think I’ll do as you say and make my workout a priority!

Hang in there girl! Chin up!

  8. Is it putting the gym first or putting YOURSELF first that you need to work on? Hm. Something to think about. Having a plan is a great idea, though. I have an android phone and just starting using my google calendar to help me plan my workouts. I tend to do what my calendar tells me to. 🙂 Good luck and keep us posted on your progress.

  9. Sorry to hear you are having a rough time. keep your head up. We are here to support you! HUGS!

  10. Hope this week is going better..and you are getting to the gym like you want to!

  11. I too put going to the gym priority. Rarely will something hold me back from going. The more i workout, the better I feel. I am to the point that I feel better, and my body craves the exercise!
Besides, I pay good money to be a member, and I want to get my moneys worth. lol

Good luck to you on your workout schedule. I know you can do it! I also hope your mom is on the mend.
